WDSI is one of 16 Workforce investment boards to be established in Indiana as a result of the passage of the federal Workforce Investment Act of 1998. Its specific role with the region is to coordinate regional development issues, establish workforce policy and oversee activities designed to develop and enhance workforce quality and quantity in the region. Since our inception in 1987 we have served nearly 30,000 people and more than 1100 employees. JobWorks helps growning companies & companies forced to be downsize. We help people who have been laid off and those new to the workforce. We help highschool students struggling to graduate & young people who are uncertain about their options.
